Bitcoin’s not a cryptocurrency #Bitcoin is a crypto property. It’s a digital property on a decentralized crypto network.
Bitcoin is the first truly decentralized digital property in the history of the human race.
Cryptocurrency like Tether is a digital currency you could almost call Tether a cryptocurrency. However, it is much more akin to a decentralized or money market fund with light or no KYC (Know Your Customer) or AML (anti-money laundering program) competing with other money market funds.
If you want to give music, education, books, wealth to 8 billion people, you have to provide them with digital property.
Digital properties are a hundred times more important than traditional books, digital music, digital friendships, digital relationships.
Think about how powerful somebody becomes when we have digital property. Because what you’re going to see is $200 trillion of money drain out of land and stocks and bonds and currency and collectibles.
A magic quadrant:
- property (the land) will be around for 1k years
- currency (the billion dollars of US dollars) loses 10% a year
- platform (the building) will be around 50 -100 years
- application (companies of the applications) they come and go
There are four types of investors:
- savers have a long-time horizon; they’re risk-averse
- investors have a mid-time horizon they take some risk
- a trader is trying to guess; they’re managing a portfolio of risk derivatives first and the second derivative of risk
- the speculators they’re like, I went to Vegas I bet on black I won
MicroStrategy is acquiring and holding Bitcoin; we’re a property development company, almost like a cyber-REIT.
